hp_touchsmartOne of the most established names in technology is HP, which stands for Hewlett-Packard. Based in California, the company was founded out of a garage in 1939. The original investment for the company was $538, and in 2007, the revenue reached $104 billion. Not only is this an almost unfathomable amount of money, but it also marked an important milestone for any IT company. They were the first to report revenue which exceeded $100 billion.

The company has done so well in part because of their reputation and in part because of their diverse product line. In terms of the latter, HP offers everything from an HP Touchsmart laptop to an HP digital camera. They are also particularly well known for their printers, scanners, televisions, and more. In addition to this wide range of products, they have also built a name for themselves by using the “HP Way” style of management. This is marked by respect for the company employees, and that ideology has carried over to the customer as well.

hp touchsmart laptop

Like many college students, I’m something of a procrastinator when it comes to homework, research papers and presentations. If a given project is has the potential to make or break my grade, I might spend a few days on it, but I just can’t bring myself to start a week ahead of time. Lately I’ve become a little better at budgeting my time, but last semester saw a number of close calls.

I almost outdid myself during finals week, when my group waited until the last minute to come up with an English presentation. We finally got together and worked well into the night before it was due, staying awake in the library with the help of chocolate and caffeine. The next morning, we strolled into class with my HP Touchsmart laptop, set up the presentation and proceeded to captivate our classmates. Maybe one day this whole procrastination thing will finally catch up to me, but for now I’ll just accept that I do my best work under deadline pressure.
